Terms of service.

Last updated: 16 May 2026.

These terms govern your use of shipcut.app (the "Service"), operated by Sigreturn Labs, a French SASU. By accessing the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

1. Legal notice

The Service is published by Sigreturn Labs, a French SASU registered at the Paris Trade and Companies Register under SIREN 104 567 854 ("Sigreturn Labs", "we", "us"). Registered office: 1 rue Marguerin, 75014 Paris, France.

Director of publication: the legal representative of Sigreturn Labs.

The Service is hosted by OVHcloud, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France.

This notice is published pursuant to Article 6-III-1 of the French Confidence in the Digital Economy Act (LCEN) of 21 June 2004.

2. What ShipCut is

ShipCut is an automated service that, from a public URL and a short text prompt supplied by you, generates a short video (typically 5 to 30 seconds, MP4 format, 1080p) intended to be used as a launch or update announcement for the product hosted at that URL.

ShipCut is a publisher of automatically-generated content. It is not a hosting service for user-generated content within the meaning of LCEN Article 6-I-2.

3. Eligibility & account

To use ShipCut beyond browsing public marketing pages, you must create an account by providing a valid email address. You confirm that you are at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country of residence) and that any URL you submit is your own or one you are authorised to use as the subject of a video.

Authentication is performed via single-use magic links sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping access to that mailbox secure.

4. AI-generated content

Storyboards and the resulting videos are generated automatically using large language and generative models. They may contain factual inaccuracies, omissions, or stylistic choices that do not reflect your brand. You should review every generated video before publishing or sharing it. We make no warranty as to accuracy, suitability for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of third-party rights.

You are solely responsible for what you do with the generated videos, including any public publication, distribution, or commercial use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • generate videos about URLs you do not control or are not authorised to use commercially;
  • generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or depicting minors in any inappropriate way;
  • impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent affiliation;
  • circumvent the monthly quota, rate limits, or any other technical restriction;
  • scrape, mirror, or republish the Service or its UI without prior written consent;
  • attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without notice and without refund.

6. Free tier & pricing

While the Service is in public beta, access is free of charge and limited to three (3) generated videos per calendar month per account. Each free render includes a small "shipcut.app" watermark.

Paid plans may be introduced at any time. Pricing and quotas of paid plans will be published on the Pricing page. Accounts that existed prior to the introduction of paid plans will continue to enjoy at least the current free quota, unless these terms are modified per Section 13.

7. Intellectual property

The "ShipCut" name, logo, the design of the Service and the underlying software are the property of Sigreturn Labs and protected by intellectual property law. No licence is granted to you save the right to access and use the Service for its intended purpose.

You retain ownership of the URL, prompt and brand materials you submit. You grant Sigreturn Labs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process and display those inputs solely to operate the Service for you.

You own the videos that the Service generates from your inputs. You may use them for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, subject to Sections 4 and 5.

8. Personal data

Sigreturn Labs is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

9. Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sigreturn Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profit, loss of business opportunity or loss of data arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

In any event, our aggregate liability to you over any 12-month period shall not exceed the amounts (if any) you paid to Sigreturn Labs over the same period in respect of the Service.

Nothing in these terms limits any statutory rights you may have as a consumer that cannot be waived under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account by emailing [email protected]. We will delete your account, generated videos and associated personal data within a reasonable period, subject to retention required by applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, in particular for a breach of these terms or for technical or operational reasons.

11. Consumer mediation

In accordance with Articles L611-1 and following of the French Consumer Code, EU consumers may resort to a consumer mediator. Designation of a mediator for the Service is pending; in the meantime, consumers may use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Paris, France, subject to mandatory rules of consumer protection in the consumer's country of residence within the EU.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be notified by email to account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
